This PR exists because, although @AfonsoMota-132 requested changes in PR #9, he accepted and merged. This PR completes the remaining changes required to fully address main security.

Summary
This PR completes the previous PR (#8).
Its main purpose is to update how workflows are triggered. The key difference is that workflows now run on both pull requests and simple pushes.
